Yes or No Quiz
Yes or No questions are the most direct quiz type on OneDayQuiz: one statement, only two possible answers. It works like a true or false quiz, and the challenge isn't remembering a fact but not being fooled by a statement that sounds true and isn't. Yes or no questions with answers
Is a tomato a fruit?
Yes. Botanically it's a fruit, because it grows from the flower and contains the seeds, even though we cook it like a vegetable.
Is the Great Wall of China visible from the Moon with the naked eye?
No. It's long but very narrow, and from the Moon no human-made structure can be seen without instruments.
Do bats see?
Yes. No bat is blind: many also use echolocation to find their way in the dark, but they can all see.
Is Mount Everest the tallest mountain on Earth from base to peak?
No. It has the highest summit above sea level, but measured from base to peak Mauna Kea in Hawaii is taller, since most of it is underwater.
Each Yes or No question has a time limit: once it runs out, the answer counts as wrong. If you don't know the answer, you can skip it or use one of the two hints, Ice and Cool Penguin, which freeze the timer. It works like every other quiz type on OneDayQuiz, as explained in the guide to how the quizzes work.
Subjects that suit Yes or No best
Yes or No works best where a statement sounds plausible but isn't: record-breaking facts, customs and traditions, and animals are the subjects that lend themselves to it most. You'll also find Yes or No questions on the flag quiz page.
